We already knew one of the participants in the 2018 Hawaii Bowl: The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors of the Mountain West Conference. Now we know who they will be facing in the tropical bowl game.

On Wednesday the Hawaii Bowl announced that the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs would be taking on Hawaii at Aloha Stadium on December 22.

Hawaii finished the season with an 8-5 record, third in the West Division. The eight wins were the most by the school since 2010.

As for Louisiana Tech, the Bulldogs finished the season 7-5, and third in the Conference USA West Division. The team is in its fifth straight bowl game - a school record for consecutive appearances.

Last year's Hawaii Bowl saw Fresno State beat the University of Houston, 33-27.

It will be Hawaii's seventh appearance in the Hawaii Bowl - more than any two other teams combined. The Rainbow Warriors' record in the competition is 4-3, with their last win coming against Middle Tennessee in a 52-35 shootout in 2016.

Louisiana Tech will be making its first appearance in the game.
