UNLV Has Landed JUCO PF Shakur Juiston, Its Second Big-Time Recruit In Two Days

It has been a good 24 hours for UNLV basketball.

Late last night, UNLV picked up a commitment from five-star power forward Brandon McCoy, the No. 13 recruit in the 2018 class. Now, the Runnin' Rebels have made another big recruiting splash.

Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College three-star power forward Shakur Juiston committed to UNLV moments ago. He is the No. 4 JUCO prospect in the 2017 class.

The 6-foot-7, 215-pound Juiston also held offers from DePaul, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Oklahoma and URI.

In addition to McCoy and Juiston, UNLV will welcome four-star Cheikh Mbacke Diong to campus next year.

This is good news for a UNLV program that is coming off an 11-21 season under Marvin Menzies.
