Danica Patrick Reacts To Supreme Court's Donald Trump Decision
The Supreme Court ruled on Donald Trump's 2024 presidential run on Monday morning.
The highest court in the land ruled that individual states are not allowed to take Trump, the 45th president of the United States, off of their individual ballots. There had been some arguing that states should be allowed to do so, due to the behavior of the former president leading up to the Jan. 6 attacks.
"The court in an unsigned ruling with no dissents reversed the Colorado Supreme Court, which determined that Trump could not serve again as president under section 3 of the Constitution's 14th Amendment," NBC News reported.
"The court said the Colorado Supreme Court had wrongly assumed that states can determine whether a presidential candidate is ineligible under a provision of the Constitution’s 14th Amendment."
From the ruling: "Because the Constitution makes Congress, rather than the states, responsible for enforcing section 3 against all federal officeholders and candidates, we reverse."
Former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick shared Donald Trump Jr's reaction on her Instagram Story.
While Patrick hasn't endorsed Trump, she hasn't shied away from voicing her political opinions.
It'll be interesting to see if Patrick chooses to speak out ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
