Colin Cowherd – ESPN (2015)
Unlike many of the others on this list, things worked out just fine for Colin Cowherd. In fact, yesterday he just launched his second daily show on FOX Sports 1, the Pardon The Interruption-inspired Speak For Yourself, which joins his syndicated radio show The Herd. If Cowherd had not been leaving ESPN for FOX already, things may have been handled differently. Instead, his departure from the Bristol giant was hastened.
In his last appearance on ESPN airwaves, while discussing Miami Marlins’ general manager Dan Jennings’ decision to appoint himself the team’s next manager, Cowherd argued that baseball’s reputation as a complex sport is overblown because of the number of players that come from the Dominican Republic.

Cowherd had plenty of controversial comments while at ESPN, including notable ones about John Wall and Sean Taylor. This insinuation that Dominican players are less bright than others was his worst, and it cost him his final few weeks at ESPN, which released a statement announcing that he would no longer appear on the network the next day.
