The top-rated dual-threat quarterback in the 2017 recruiting class is visiting Ohio State this week, despite being firmly committed to an SEC program.
Five-star quarterback Tate Martell, out of Las Vegas (NV), is rated as the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback and the No. 29 overall player in the class by 247 Sports. Since committing to Texas A&M in August of 2015, Martell has maintained that his pledge to the Aggies is firm, but it appears he's still testing the waters.
Wednesday morning, he tweeted that he was on the way to Columbus, Ohio, the home of the Buckeyes.
While Martell says he's still committed to A&M, this has to be unsettling news for Aggies fans. The Buckeyes have proven capable of winning titles and will no doubt roll out the red carpet. And with recent offers from the likes of FSU and LSU, it will be interesting to see if the Aggies can hold onto the five-star recruit.
