Bud Dupree Taken No. 22 Overall In The 2015 NFL Draft

Former Kentucky star linebacker Bud Dupree has been taken at No. 22 overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers in this year's NFL Draft. He's the first player to be taken from Kentucky this year.

Dupree, who stands at 6-foot-4, 270 pounds, racked up 74 tackles and 7.5 sacks in his senior year at Kentucky - including 15 tackles against Tennessee alone. While the Wildcats struggled to win games during his four years, Dupree was a standout defensively, terrorizing opposing offenses. He's been described as a "freakish" athlete - possessing great speed for his size. He should be able to compete for a starting job in his first year.

According to NFL.com, Dupree's closest comparison is Jamie Collins. Here's more:

Dupree is an explosive, powerful athlete with a background in basketball. While he's been productive at Kentucky, his tape doesn't always do his potential justice. He must continue to improve as a pass rusher, but his traits are undeniable. Difference between being good and great might be his coordinator.

The Denver Broncos, via trade, are now on the clock.
