Texas just landed its highest-rated recruit for the 2016 recruiting cycle – thanks to Baylor fumbling the ball on the goal line.
After failing to send wide receiver Devin Duvernay’s letter of intent paperwork to the Big 12 offices, Baylor had to sit back and watch the four-star recruit, who took it personal, explore other options. And on Wednesday, he found a landing spot – at Texas.
Charlie Strong was pumped to hear the news and took to Twitter to celebrate.

Texas finished 2016 National Signing Day with the No. 11 class in the country according to 247 Sports, but little did the Longhorns know they weren’t done there. They just added the highest-rated recruit of the class. Not too shabby.
