Florida State WR Da'Vante Phillips Out For Spring With Groin Injury

Florida State head football coach Jimbo Fisher met with local media Wednesday afternoon ahead of the Seminoles' first day of spring practice.

He discussed the team goals, questions that need to be answered and what the Seminoles have coming back. He also talked about the players that will miss spring with injury, and there was a new name on that list: wide receiver Da'Vante Phillips. According to Fisher, Phillips suffered a groin injury and will have surgery in order to make it back in time for fall.

FSU's Tim Linafelt was on the scene, and shared some of Fisher's quotes to Twitter.
