Keyshawn Johnson Throws Playful Jab At Reporter Who Compliments His Son

Nebraska has gained significant momentum on the recruiting trail as of late, landing another big commitment in four-star linebacker Avery Roberts Thursday afternoon.

Mike Riley and staff should receive most of the credit for the job they've done on the trail, but they're not the only ones who have made an impact. Current four-star wide receiver commit Keyshawn Johnson Jr., who has been openly recruiting talent since pledging his commitment to the Huskers, deserves some of that credit as well.

On Thursday, ESPN college football reporter Mitch Sherman did just that, crediting Johnson Jr. for the job he's done recruiting.

But something he said - "even if he never catches a pass" - seemed to rub former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson the wrong way, who fired back at Sherman in "defense" of his son.

I'm sure my son @keyshawnnnn will catch more passes in 1 half than you did in your entire pop warner career ? https://t.co/FhP2YqeCTT

Sherman, of course, replied, insisting that he believes Jr. will catch plenty of passes in Lincoln. Oh, and Jr. himself responded to his father's jab.
