LSU Running Back Leonard Fournette Is The New Heisman Trophy Favorite, Per Bovada

The hype train for Leonard Fournette is full-steam ahead, and based on his game against Auburn, he may be able to pull the locomotive all the way to New York himself. The Heisman Trophy odds have been all over the place so far this season. Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones was on top briefly, after winning the Buckeyes starting job, but he has fallen back due to some mediocre performances and splitting time with J.T. Barrett. ESPN polled its college football analysts after week one, and Derrick Henry and Nick Chubb led the list. Now, per sportsbook Bovada, Fournette has the best odds to take home the trophy.

Fournette ran like a man possessed in LSU's dominant win over Auburn, piling up 228 yards and three touchdowns on just 19 carries, and without a touch in the fourth quarter.
