Photo: Notre Dame S Drue Tranquill In Good Spirits After Unfortunate Injury

This isn't exactly how Notre Dame safety Drue Tranquill envisioned his season coming to an end, but then again, these things are impossible to foresee.

This pass weekend against Georgia Tech, Tranquill was doing his part defending a Yellow Jackets' pass to the end zone on a 3rd and 17 play, but as he came down from his celebration, something went terribly wrong. He landed awkwardly and his knee buckled, tearing his ACL and ending his season.

But Tranquill has dealt with this injury before, he also missed the final two games of 2014 after tearing the ACL on his other knee. This experience has left him confident in his return. And on Thursday, he posted a photo to his Instagram account with a high-spirited message.

It's good to see him thinking positive after such an unfortunate injury.
