Photo: Penn State Sent 5-Star WR Recruit Donovan Peoples-Jones 80-Plus Personalized Letters

College football programs tend to fall in love with at least one player during each recruiting cycle, and it appears five-star wide receiver Donavan People-Jones is that guy for Penn State in 2017. Head coach James Franklin and staff are going all-in on this one.

Peoples-Jones, rated as the No. 2 wide receiver - and the No. 17 overall player - in the 2017 class, according to 247 Sports, is believed to be a far-too-early lean to Ohio State. And being the No. 1 rated player out of the state of Michigan, the 6-foot-2, 192-pound receiver is also showing a lot of interest in Michigan and Michigan State as well.

But the Penn State Nittany Lions made an impression on Saturday, sending the wide out more than 80 personalized letters in the mail.

It's something like this that can make a player feel special, and it will be interesting to see how his recruitment plays out as programs from all around the country battle for his attention.
