Pittsburgh offensive line coach John Peterson has only been on the job for one week, but he's apparently gotten the memo on how to endear himself to the Panthers' fan base. Peterson, who was hired away from Akron by new head coach Pat Narduzzi, tweeted out a graphic Wednesday night that refers to Pitt as the "Premier Program In The State Of Pennsylvania." For those unaware, that is a direct shot at Penn State.

Pitt and Penn State have actually played each other 96 times (PSU owns a slight edge, 50-42-4), but the two haven't met on the gridiron since 2000. That changes in 2016 - when the Panthers and Nittany Lions play the first of a four-game series. Perhaps then we'll find out which program truly rules the state.
