Steve Lavin Released A Very Classy Statement Regarding His Time At St. Johns

Earlier today, St. John's elected to part ways with head coach Steve Lavin after five seasons. Lavin led the Red Storm to an 81-55 record during his tenure, including a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances in 2011 and 2015.

A short time ago, Lavin released a statement reflecting on his time in Queens via a series of tweets, and it was quite classy. Here's a look:

Some of the names reported as possible replacements for Lavin have included former St. John's and NBA star Chris Mullin and current Rhode Island head coach Danny Hurley.

Lavin, 50, could conceivably end up coaching elsewhere next season, and an early report indicates he has interest in the vacant Arizona State position.
