Texas Mascot Bevo XIV Will Miss Oklahoma Game Due To Life-Threatening Condition
As the Longhorns continued preparation Wednesday afternoon for this weekend's rivalry game against Oklahoma, they received some unfortunate news. Texas' mascot, Bevo XIV, who has been the official mascot since 2004, will not attend Saturday's game due to a life-threatening condition.

Veterinarians are still exploring Bevo XIV's condition at this point in time. Texas released this statement following the announcement, shared on Twitter by Time Warner Cable's Ricky Doyle.
