Video: Notre Dame Releases Awesome "Next Man In" Video About Transition From Zaire To Kizer

Deshone Kizer gets a pat on the head after Virginia game.

Notre Dame's offense is in DeShone Kizer's hands.

The Notre Dame football team suffered a major blow this past weekend against Virginia when it lost starting quarterback Malik Zaire, who fractured his ankle after a Virginia defender rolled up on it. But this is what the Irish have prepared for - anything that comes their way, no matter how unfortunate it may be. Sophomore QB DeShone Kizer is the next man in.

To show this transition, Notre Dame released a cool video this week highlighting the Virginia game, the injury and transition at quarterback, and head coach Brian Kelly's impressive post-game "Next Man In" speech.

College football season is a journey, and not everybody is going to make it through, but everybody needs to be ready. Notre Dame continues its journey this weekend at home against No. 14 Georgia Tech at 3:30 p.m. on NBC.
