The winningest and longest tenured active head coach in Division 1 FBS college football, Frank Beamer, will retire at season's end.

Beamer turned Virginia Tech into a winning program during his 29 seasons at the helm of the ship, turning the Hokies into a national title contender. But it will all come to an end this season, and VT knows it's losing a major piece of the football program.

So, in order to thank Beamer for his years of service - including his playing career, Virginia Tech released this awesome tribute video Thursday afternoon for his final home game.

Beamer accumulated a 235-120-2 career record at VT, capturing three Big East titles, four ACC titles and a earning a trip to a national title game. He will be missed in Blacksburg.

Virginia Tech and No. 17 North Carolina are scheduled to kick things off at 12 p.m. on ESPN.
