On Tuesday night, the Atlanta Hawks faced off against the Miami Heat in a battle of 2-1 teams.

No one has gotten off to a hotter start than Hawks point guard Trae Young. Three games into the 2019-20 season, Young is putting up 34 points, nine assists and six rebounds per game.

He kept that hot start going tonight with five points, two rebounds and two assists in the first 11 minutes of the game.

Unfortunately for the Hawks, their young star guard went down with what appeared to be a lower leg injury.

Video of the play shows Young step on the foot of a defender and severely roll his ankle.

Here's video of the incident.

The video and reports of him needing help off the court have fans worried at home.

Losing Young would be absolutely devastating to the Hawks who look like a contender in the Eastern Conference so far.

Young, a former No. 5 overall pick out of Oklahoma, is an early candidate for most-improved player this season - despite averaging nearly a double-double as a rookie.

Hopefully the young guard just rolled his ankle and he'll be able to get back on the floor soon.

Stay tuned for the latest injury update on Young moving forward.
