Bill Simmons Blasts ESPN's Mike & Mike On Twitter After Mike Golic Called Him A Headline Grabber

Bill Simmons and ESPN appear to be at war yet again.

Earlier Today, Mike Golic criticized the Grantland editor-in-chief during a segment on "Mike & Mike" for something he said about LeBron James. On Wednesday, Simmons appeared on "The Herd" and discussed the start of James' season in Cleveland. Simmons, known for his NBA analysis, said James' short time with the Cavs has reminded him a "tiny bit" of Albert Pujols' performance early on with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. "Mike & Mike" played some of that audio and Golic went off.

“I think it’s one of the most ridiculous statements I’ve heard four games into a season in my life in any sport,” Golic said. “That’s what I’ll say about Bill Simmons. So, you know, he grabbed a headline, which is something I know he loves — and that’s one of the most ridiculous lines I’ve ever heard in any sport in my life. Four games into a season. I don’t even … that’s ridiculous.”

“I put nothing — zero — on that,” Golic ended.

Simmons responded to his colleague's comments on Twitter this afternoon.

Simmons' Twitter rant comes just a couple weeks after he was suspended by ESPN for his comments about NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. The 45 year old appears to have an issue with ESPN's ombudsman, too.

Simmons has a loud mouth, but he didn't start this fight and it seems fairly unprofessional for Golic to call out a fellow ESPN employee on the air. How will the Worldwide Leader In Sports handle this?
