The Los Angeles Clippers will be without one of their star players.
Last night the Clippers went into Utah and stole a game from the Utah Jazz. With a 2-1 lead in the series, it might look like great news from the outside, but the win came with a very costly price.
Los Angeles star forward Blake Griffin suffered an injury in the first half, and did not return for the remainder of the game. Saturday morning, the Clippers announced that Griffin will miss the rest of the playoffs with an injury to his right plantar plate.
From the release:
The L.A. Clippers announced that forward Blake Griffin will miss the remainder of the 2017 NBA Playoffs with an injury to the plantar plate of his right big toe suffered during the Clippers’ 111-106 win over the Utah Jazz in Game 3 of their Western Conference First Round Playoff series.

It’s a huge blow for the Clippers, who look to avoid yet another early exit in the NBA Playoffs. Notorious for their regular season success, and early first-round exits, the Clippers will need other players to step up in the absence of Griffin.
