Bob Ley Expresses Displeasure With LeBron James' "Don't Watch ESPN" Comments

Could ESPN's love affair with LeBron James be coming to an end? The network's Outside The Lines lead man, Bob Ley, is not very happy with the Miami Heat superstar. Ley tweeted directly at James about a comment he made earlier this week regarding athletes tuning out critics. Ley finds the comments hypocritical, particularly because ESPN was the network that carried LeBron's "The Decision" special.

">@KingJames. "Don't watch ESPN." - except when you're the focus of a 1 hr show annoucing your free agent destination?

Help me here, @KingJames. "Don't watch ESPN." - except when you're the focus of a 1 hr show annoucing your free agent destination?

Here's the exact quote from James, via an ESPN Dallas article by Calvin Watkins. He was speaking about advice for Tony Romo and Johnny Manziel.

"If you care about your craft and at the end of the day if you went out there and you gave it everything you had and you laid it out on the line for your teammates, you can sleep comfortably at night. Don't watch ESPN and all these so-called 'everyone knows what to do that ain't never put on a uniform, trying to tell you what to do' [shows]."

While it's obvious that James was just generalizing, he'd probably have been better off leaving the Worldwide Leader out of it. As many would attest, they've been pretty good to him over the years.
