The ongoing saga of Al Horford continues as NBA free agency officially tips off. There are conflicting reports about where the big man will end up.

For the last few days, it seemed like Horford was going to wind up leaving Boston. Just this afternoon, the Sacramento Kings were reportedly set to make a "massive" offer for the 33-year-old center.

Then, there were multiple reports this afternoon indicating that the Celtics hadn't closed the door on retaining Horford and were in fact attempting to maneuver their roster and cap space to make a signing possible.

Keith Smith of Yahoo tweeted a short time ago that Boston was on its way to making this situation reality.

Now, a new report from the Boston Herald's Steve Bulpett indicates that even with all of the cap space juggling Boston has done, Horford won't be returning to the Celtics.

We should find out soon enough where exactly Horford will be signing.

Last season, he produced 13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.5 blocks per game.
