Kendrick Perkins has never been one to shy away from bold comments. On Tuesday night, the former Boston Celtics center decided to take a shot at Kyrie Irving.
Last summer, Perkins trashed Irving on FS1’s Fair Game with Kristine Leahy. He didn’t like how the All-Star guard handled his time with Boston and refused to comment on where Irving would go in free agency.
Perkins was on the NBC Sports Boston broadcast for last night’s game between the Celtics and Rockets. During the first half of action, he was talking about the team’s fan base when he once again called out Irving.
“And Kyrie Irving didn’t want to play for this franchise,” Perkins said. “Every time I think of that guy, I want to throw up.”

There’s no denying that Boston has an exceptional fan base. However, it’s OK for Irving to want out and play for another franchise.
Most fans in Boston accepted the fact that Irving’s time with the team just didn’t work out. The same cannot be said right now for Perkins.
Perkins recently found himself in a Twitter battle with Kevin Durant as well. It’s apparent that he’s not afraid to call out today’s generation of NBA superstars.
Let’s see if Irving fires back at Perkins in the near future.
