Watch: Kyrie Irving Booed Loudly By Cavaliers Fans, Scores First Basket Of NBA Season

Kyrie Irving booed by Cleveland Cavaliers fans.

Kyrie Irving did not receive the warmest greeting from fans in Cleveland as the NBA season began just minutes ago.

Irving has a tumultuous off-season, in which he demanded a trade, and eventually ended up on the Cavaliers' main Eastern Conference rival, the Boston Celtics.

As luck would have it, Kyrie's new team opens the season at Kyrie's old team, and on the game's first possession, the Celtics point guard got the ball, and scored the season's first basket on a floater.

Cavs fans let him have it during the play.

The Celtics lead the Cavaliers early, 12-9, with 6:45 left in the first quarter. Unfortunately, the festivities are on pause for what looks like a really bad injury to the Celtics' other big off-season acquisiton, Gordon Hayward.
