Stephen A. Smith had quite the comment about Kyrie Irving during First Take on Monday morning.

Smith made a joke about how he didn't think Irving would show up for work after Russia invaded Ukraine.

"When Russia bombed Ukraine I thought Kyrie Irving wasn't going to show up for work," Smith said. "I literally sat there and said, 'Is this man gonna skip work?'"

Smith is likely saying this due to Irving taking time off work after the Jan. 6 insurrection in Washington D.C. Irving was reportedly traumatized by it.

Irving has played in all three Nets playoff games so far, but they still find themselves down 3-0 in the series against the Celtics. If they go down on Monday night, their season will be officially over.

Since Irving's outstanding 39-point effort in Game 1, he's only scored 26 points in Brooklyn's last two games. He was held to 10 points in Game 3 on Saturday, a game that Brooklyn needed to win to get back into the series.

He'll need to have some magic tonight if the Nets are to extend their season. Game 4 will tip-off at 7 p.m. ET.
