New Carmelo Anthony free agency rumors are swirling after a reported dinner sighting on Saturday night.
Anthony, who is expected to join a new NBA team after being traded from the Houston Rockets to the Chicago Bulls, was spotted in an NBA city on Saturday night.
Charlie Clifford of News 8 is reporting that the former NBA All-Star forward was spotted having dinner in Indianapolis.
The Pacers could be in need of some scoring help with the season-ending injury to All-Star guard Victor Oladipo.
"I am told Carmelo Anthony, technically still under contract with the Bulls, had dinner in downtown Indy tonight," he reports.
From the report:
Former New York Knick and Houston Rocket Carmelo Anthony was in Indianapolis Saturday night, sources tell News 8's Charlie Clifford.
Anthony, who was recently traded from the Rockets to the Chicago Bulls, had dinner in the Circle City but it's unclear who he met with at this point.
This comes after Pacers star Victor Oladipo suffered a season-ending knee injury.
Anthony, 34, averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds a game with the Houston Rockets this season. He's been linked to a couple of different NBA teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers.
