A non-call in the second quarter of last night's NBA Finals game was critical.
Kevin Durant compiled his third foul less than two minutes into the second quarter of Game 5 on Monday night.
The Golden State Warriors' star forward smacked LeBron James in the head as he went up for a dunk attempt.
It wasn't called, though.
James made the dunk, but the Warriors, with Durant on the floor - he only had two fouls, after all - proceeded to go on a 27-4 run after trailing by six points. The game was never the same after that.
Do the Cavs win last night if Durant gets called for that third foul? Probably not. But you can't say the game wouldn't have been different if it was.
