Charles Barkley was asked about LaVar Ball's recent antics on television and the Turner Sports analyst didn't hold back.

Ball, who caused a bit of a controversy when he said ESPN's Molly Qerim could switch gears with him "anytime," was crushed by the prominent NBA analyst.

"Wherever LaVar Ball is, there's a village missing an idiot," Barkley told TMZ Sports. "We should just keep LaVar off television. That would be the best way to be."

An ESPN spokesman said last week that Ball would not be appearing on ESPN at any point in the near future.

Barkley added that he feels LaVar is hurting his sons, especially Lonzo, who got traded to New Orleans.

"It's really unfair to his son. His son is a good player and a nice kid."

When asked if LaVar can get a fresh start in Louisiana ... Charles said, "He's an idiot in all 50 states."

LaVar, meanwhile, told a Twitter user over the weekend that ESPN was overreacting to his comments.

“I don’t even have to respond to that on the fact that I meant no sexual intent on the fact that ‘switch gears’ means changing topics to me. Her mind in the gutter if she thinking something else. Only time I hit on her is if she’s breaking into my house and I mistake her for the Boogeyman," he said.
