Charles Barkley appeared on NBC’s intermission show during Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final this evening. We’re not exactly sure why, but we’re glad he did.
The Turner Sports NBA analyst was wearing quite the outfit for his appearance.
In a move we haven’t seen before, the former NBA star was wearing a light-blue button-up shirt over a royal blue polo.
It’s quite the layering strategy.
If @kawhileonard was a hockey player, who would he be?
Charles Barkley immediately had a response: Sidney Crosby. pic.twitter.com/XFaEB6j22v

ESPN’s Molly McGrath speculated that Barkley had to put a long-sleeve shirt on to appear on the air.
Charles Barkley 100% threw this shirt on over his polo because they asked him to wear a button down on set. Doing the bare minimum and THRIVING 👌 pic.twitter.com/OYlyl9aJ2h

That’s a decent theory.
Or, maybe Barkley was just cold inside the hockey arena. We might never know the true reason…
Game 7 is on NBC.
