Dwyane Wade took to Instagram to pay tribute to President Barack Obama, after his speech following last night's election.
Following up on the concession speech by Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, President Barack Obama gave a speech at the White House this morning, outlining the transition of power to President-Elect Donald Trump, who won the 2016 Presidential Election in shocking fashion early on Wednesday morning.
LeBron James took to social media on Wednesday morning to give his thoughts about the Clinton loss. He had previously endorsed and campaigned for the former Secretary of State. After Obama's speech, one of James' former Miami Heat teammates, now-Chicago Bulls guard Dwyane Wade, weighed in via Instagram, posting a photo of the two with Obama, and using the hashtag #AlwaysMyPresident.
Wade and James' 2012 and 2013 Heat teams made White House visits after winning back-to-back NBA Championships.
Trump narrowly lost the popular vote, but easily took the electoral college, flipping expected blue states like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin en route to a shocking late night victory.
