The Cleveland Cavaliers will reportedly sign three-time All-Star Deron Williams.
LeBron James will be getting some much-needed help at the point guard position very soon. Saturday, USA TODAY reported that three-time All-Star Deron Williams will sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the remainder of the season after being waived by the Dallas Mavericks. Williams, who cleared waivers largely because of his $9 million salary, will play for the Cavs for the league veteran minimum. It’s expected that he’ll sign with the team in the next day or two.

Williams, now 32 years old, should provide the Cavaliers depth at guard as they make their stretch run heading towards the playoffs. The former All-Star was averaging 13.1 points per game and 6.9 assists per game this season for the Mavericks.
