Kyrie Irving is headed to a new team.

The Kyrie Irving-Cleveland Cavaliers drama is over.

After nearly a month and a half of trade rumors and speculation, the Cleveland Cavaliers have traded Kyrie Irving to the Boston Celtics.

In return, Cleveland will receive Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic, and a first round pick.

ESPN's Jeff Goodman had the trade details first.

Cleveland and Boston are the cream of the Eastern Conference crop, which will set up for an interesting Eastern Conference Finals matchup, should both teams make it that far.

The Cavs and Celtics open the 2017-18 season against each other on October 17, and play two more times throughout the regular season.
