Kevin Love Scored 34 Points In The First Quarter Wednesday Night

Yep, you are reading the headline correctly. Cleveland Cavaliers star Kevin Love scored 34 points in the first quarter of his team's game against Portland on Wednesday night.

Cleveland knocked off Portland on Wednesday night, but the result of the contest was almost a side note to what we saw in the first quarter. Cavs star Kevin Love, arguably the third option on his own team, scored 34 points in the first quarter of the game. Love finished 11-of-14 from the field, including 8-of-10 from three-point-land, pouring in 34 points - just shy over Klay Thompson's record 37 points in one quarter last January.

Love finished the game with 40 points, oddly enough. Here's video of his insane first quarter:

Love and the Cavs are off to a great start this year with an 11-2 record. It's fair to say he likely won't have another game like this, though.
