Where is LeBron James heading? That is the major question anyone around the NBA is asking themselves as the offseason gets underway.

There will be no shortage of insiders claiming they know James' future plans. There will also be no shortage of former players guessing where he "takes his talents" next.

Gary Payton may have dropped a very interesting hint on James' thought process in a recent interview with BSO's Sheena Marie. If Payton's line of thinking is correct, LeBron will be a Laker.

While Payton stated in the interview that "anything can happen," he also added that LeBron's son LeBron James Jr. has "committed" to attending Sierra Canyon High School next year. Sierra Canyon is a private school in the Los Angeles suburbs with a powerhouse basketball program that includes the sons of Scottie Pippen and Kenyon Martin.

Payton reasoned that knowing how big family is for LeBron, he might want to be close to his son.

"A son at that age, you don't want to be away from him for that period of time," Payton said.

You can see Payton's full interview below.

The season may have just ended, but the LeBron speculation is in full swing.
