The NBA Finals are set to tip off next week.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors will meet in the NBA Finals for the third straight year - but it won't tip off for another week. Friday, the NBA released the schedule for the series. Game 1 will tip off on Thursday, June 1.

Why? Well, it's pretty simple. The Warriors swept the Spurs in four games, while the Cavaliers only needed five to take care of the Celtics. The league couldn't have anticipated that both teams would dominate their opponents so easily.

If the Cavs had lost Game 5 to the Celtics, they'd have played Game 6 on Saturday and Game 7 on Monday. But they didn't, so we have a void.

And so, we wait.

Here's the full schedule:

Thursday, June 1 - Cleveland at Golden State at 8:00 p.m. ET

Sunday, June 4 - Cleveland at Golden State at 7:00 p.m. ET

Wednesday, June 7 - Golden State at Cleveland at 8:00 p.m. ET

Friday, June 9 - Golden State at Cleveland at 8:00 p.m. ET

Monday, June 12 - Cleveland at Golden State at 8:00 p.m. ET

Thursday, June 15 - Golden State at Cleveland at 8:00 p.m. ET

Sunday, June 18 - Cleveland at Golden State at 7:00 p.m. ET

All seven games will be broadcast on ABC. Which team are you taking, America?
