The NBA Playoffs haven't been the same without Craig Sager. The legendary sideline reporter passed away in December after a long battle with cancer, but at tonight's Sports Emmy Awards, he received an amazing honor.

Sager took home the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Sports Personality - Sports Reporter, and as you can imagine, the room reportedly exploded with applause.

Ken Rosenthal, Michele Tafoya, Tom Verducci, and Tracy Wolfson were also up for the award.

Sager did an excellent job of covering the NBA all the way through his final games, and served as a hero for those battling cancer everywhere. This is an awesome moment for the sports world, and we can't wait to see video of the moment from the show when it is released online.
