Ahead of tonight's big Game 3 against the Utah Jazz, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has said he's feeling better. But is he well enough to play?

According to ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the answer is a resounding no. Doncic has reportedly been ruled out of tonight's game against the Jazz.

The three-time All-Star had previously been ruled questionable and was in good spirits during a shootaround today. Doncic has been dealing with a calf strain that caused him to miss the first two games of the series.

Woj noted that the usual recovery time from a calf strain like Doncic's is 16 days. Today will mark 11 days since he sustained the injury. That doesn't bode too well for his return in Game 4.

The 2021-22 season was yet another superb one for the Slovenian superstar. Luka Doncic made his third straight All-Star game and finished the season with 28.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game.

Doncic was the driving force behind the Mavericks making the playoffs for a third in a row. Their 52 regular season wins were the most in a season since they won the NBA Finals in 2011.

But Doncic has yet to lead the Mavs to a series win despite his regular season dominance. With the way his recovery is going, he'll be hard-pressed to make it back in time to lead them to one this year either.

Will we see Luka Doncic at all in the playoffs this year?
