The Denver Nuggets are going to have to wait a little longer for Jamal Murray's return.

Nuggets head coach has confirmed that Jamal Murray isn't close to returning to the lineup.

Murray has missed the entire 2021-22 season so far after he tore his ACL last April. With this news though, it looks unlikely he'll play during the regular season leading up to the playoffs. The NBA world is a bit sad about this news.

To say that the Nuggets have missed Murray this season would be a massive understatement. Denver is currently 42-29 overall but is in danger of falling into the play-in tournament.

Murray had the best season of his career to date last year before he got hurt. He averaged 21 points per game, plus four rebounds and four assists per game as well.

Denver is currently one game behind Dallas for fifth place in the Western Conference. If the Nuggets can avoid the play-in tournament, there's a chance Murray could return for a full playoff series.

The Nuggets' next game will be against the Celtics on Sunday night. Tip-off will be at 8 p.m. ET.
