With the NBA season still a few months away, Devin Booker and other stars partook in a pickup game. During the action, the star guard of the Phoenix Suns voiced his frustration on the court.
Booker has developed into one of the best shooters in the league. Last season, the Kentucky product had 26.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
Even though Booker will likely face double teams from opposing defenses this upcoming season, the former first-round pick doesn’t want to see that type of defense being played in a pickup game.
That wasn’t the case during their open gym session, though. Once Booker saw that he was going up against two defenders, he made it clear that it better not happen again.
“Hey bro we’re not doubling in open gym,” Booker said during the pickup game. “Come on man. Let’s work on our game.”
Joakim Noah quickly responded to Booker, saying “It’s part of the game.”

Noah has a point that it’s part of the game, especially since Booker is the top scoring option for the Suns. In all likelihood, he’ll see every opponent’s best defender on a nightly basis.
Booker has quickly ascended as one of the brightest young stars in the NBA. However, the consensus on social media is that his comments during this pickup game weren’t warranted.
Do you think Booker is wrong for what he said?
