Draymond Green Delivers Message To Paul Pierce, Those Criticizing Kevin Durant's Decision

Draymond Green, now teammate of Kevin Durant, had some words for Paul Pierce and those who have criticized Durant's decision of leaving the Thunder to join the Warriors.

In case for some reason you didn't already know, Kevin Durant is now a member of the Golden State Warriors. He's been criticized by many about his decision and new teammate Draymond Green has a pretty strong opinion about it.

But first, some context.

Veteran Paul Pierce hopped on Sirius XM Radio earlier this week and took a jab at Durant joining Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Green and others in Golden State:

Here are a few quotes from Pierce's interview:

"That's like if Bird decided to go play with Magic...I've been in that position; I could have left Boston years ago but I stuck it out. I feel like when you're that close, you don't just go join a team that put you out [of the playoffs]."

Green responded to those criticizing Durant's decision, including Pierce, as he delivered a strong message yesterday:

"I just wonder at what point do they get bored talking about the same thing. You got all these guys talking. Like (Paul) Pierce today, like, dude nobody care what you did or who you did it for. Everybody got something to say and want to take everything he say and twist it. Like, he play with the Warriors."

Perhaps the best line in Green's rant was "Nobody complain when somebody leave Apple and go to Google. Aren't they in competition with each other? Nobody talk junk about the CEO who leaves Apple and goes to Google."

Green certainly has Durant's back.

The Warriors’ first game is on Oct. 25 against the Spurs.
