We're only a few days away from contract negotiations starting up this offseason. As you'd expect, the entire basketball world is waiting to see where Kevin Durant will sign.

Several NBA insiders and analysts have unveiled their prediction for which team lands Durant in free agency. The trendy picks are the Golden State Warriors and Brooklyn Nets.

On Wednesday, the NBA finally heard a prediction from a former teammate of Durant.

Kanter was on FS1's The Herd to discuss where he believes Durant will sign this summer. He thinks that the All-Star forward will sign with Nets, avoiding any criticism that comes with joining the Knicks.

"I see him going to Brooklyn with Kyrie because I know KD, I know his personality and everything," Kanter said. "The media might be a little harsh on him in New York. If you go to the Knicks and you're not winning, they're (the media) going to blame you."

Here is the video of Kanter's prediction:

Brooklyn is hoping to pair Durant with Kyrie Irving this offseason. It'd be quite the duo for a franchise that is need of some firepower.

The Knicks might not be the first or second option for Durant, but they expect to meet with him in the near future.

It's going to be an intriguing offseason for the NBA.
