ESPN Is Getting Crushed For Its NBA Draft Lottery Coverage

ESPN logo.

The NBA lottery is unveiled tonight, and the fortunes of several franchises are on the line as the draft order is decided. The worst teams in the NBA have a shot at hearing their names called as the No. 1 pick is revealed.

How is the fate decided?

Just like the national and state lotteries: ping pong balls.

It's a tense time, but not as tense as the buildup to the event itself. People aren't happy with ESPN's coverage thus far.

Of course, every network given the right to host the NBA draft lottery would likely cover it the same way - build up the hype (and ad revenue).

However, that won't stop the audience from wishing the process didn't take so long.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics tip off on ESPN at 8:30 p.m. ET, so we'll likely see the drawing shortly beforehand.
