There's no question that free agency will be the talk of the NBA for the next few weeks, but another talking point around the league is the supporting cast for Space Jam 2.
LeBron James obviously has an important season coming up with the Lakers, especially after missing the postseason this year. The four-time MVP also has business to handle away from the team, as he gets ready to star in an upcoming movie.
James will play the lead role in Space Jam 2, which is inspired by the first film that starred Michael Jordan. It's a huge privilege for the Akron native who recently announced how grateful he is for the opportunity.
While the movie is undoubtedly going to focus on James, there are a few other NBA stars that are on the set. Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson and Damian Lillard are all part of the cast.
Even though Thompson recently tore his ACL during the NBA Finals, the All-Star guard was seen on the movie set on Wednesday.
Footage of the players talking and getting some jumpers up was released by TMZ Sports.
Via TMZ Sports:
Clearly, Thompson isn't going to allow his knee injury to slow him down.
Draymond Green was also in attendance, which served as a surprise to most fans.
Space Jam 2 is currently scheduled to be released on July 16, 2021.
