The brief All Star Draft between Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James was not without some memorable moments.
Whether it was LeBron cursing on screen after missing out on drafting Ben Simmons, or the subsequent trade that the Lakers megastar made to get Simmons on his team, the two NBA stars had plenty of fun.
But Giannis undoubtedly got the biggest laugh of the night after LeBron selected Pelicans forward Anthony Davis.
Ernie Johnson asked LeBron if he was “sure he wanted Anthony to be his teammate.” When LeBron asked in the affirmative, Giannis chimed in by asking, “Isn’t that tampering?”
The three burst out laughing at the response, to which LeBron confidently replied, “Tampering rules does not apply on All-Star Weekend.”
Giannis doesn’t think LeBron should be allowed to draft Anthony Davis. ?

LeBron’s efforts to recruit Davis from the Pelicans to the Lakers are well-documented.
He has spoken publicly about wanting to play with Davis in the past.
Additionally, Davis’ agent recently went public with a request to get traded from the Pelicans – a move that resulted in a $50,000 fine for Davis.
Unfortunately for LeBron, his efforts to recruit Davis were for naught as the Lakers and Pelicans could not come to an agreement before the trade deadline on Thursday afternoon.
At least he’ll get to play with Davis in the All-Star Game on February 17.
