The days leading up to Wednesday's NBA trade deadline were quiet, but the wait was well worth it. In the midst of several big-time trades, Minnesota's Andrew Wiggins is heading to Golden State. He couldn't be more excited about the move.

Wiggins is now set to have a prominent role with the Warriors. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson continue to recover from injuries, leaving a leadership role available for Wiggins.

After several tough years in Minnesota, the former top draft pick now has a fresh start. The Warriors' team chemistry is something Wiggins has never had the chance to experience.

The small forward couldn't be more excited to be leaving Minnesota. Wiggins' latest Instagram story shows exactly how he feels about the trade.

The Wiggins experiment in Minnesota simply didn't pan out. But a fresh start with the Warriors could be all the former top draft pick needs to elevate his game.

One thing's for sure - Wiggins is hyped to be heading to Golden State.

The Warriors are currently last in the Western Conference standings. But there's several obvious reasons for the down season.

Now, Wiggins joins a team desperately needing a leader. He'll have a chance to improve his game before Curry and Thompson return from injury.
