Draymond Green could be recruiting another potential superstar teammate, and the season hasn’t even started yet.
Green is in Las Vegas for tonight’s Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight, and he’s apparently been hanging out with new Oklahoma City Thunder forward Paul George.
Earlier this month, The Athletic’s Tim Kawakami said that he thinks the Warriors could make a run at George after the season, however unlikely as that seems. George has been connected with the Los Angeles Lakers for a few years now, and the assumption that he would leave the Pacers for the Lakers in free agency was a reason why the team dealt him to Oklahoma City.
It seems far-fetched, but ESPN’s Arash Markazi, who is on scene in Vegas, says that Green and George have been “attached at the hip” this weekend.
Laugh about those rumors about the Warriors pursuing Paul George but Draymond Green and George have been attached at the hip this weekend.

The pair attended the Mayweather-McGregor weigh-in on Friday.

The Warriors reportedly reached out to the Pacers about acquiring George, but cut off talks when Indiana asked for Klay Thompson in return. Kevin Durant also spoke glowingly about the impact that George will have on his old team.
Green was a point person in getting Durant to make the jump to Golden State. If he can do the same with George, it may lead to the most prolific lineup in NBA history. I still have my doubts, though.
