Odds are that Nick Young, the enigmatic guard also known as "Swaggy P," will soon be an NBA Champion.
Young, one of the NBA's most infamous players for his shot-happy play on the court, and his off-court antics, is signing with the Golden State Warriors.
He is amazingly entering his 12th year in the NBA, and is coming off of a solid season with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Young averaged 13.2 points per game, shooting 43-percent from the floor and over 40-percent from three.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news on Twitter.
Moments later, Priority Sports officially announced the deal.
Non-NBA fans will probably best remember Young for an incident a few years ago. Young, who had been engaged to rapper Iggy Azalea, was secretly recorded by then-rookie teammate D'Angelo Russell. The video was leaked online, and caused a rift between the backcourt-mates.
Most teams would probably shy away from a guy like Young, but for all of his faults, he can score, and Golden State has proven it can turn guys like that into role players on championship teams. JaVale McGee was a solid reserve center for the world champions this year, and they hope that Young will make a similar impact playing minutes behind Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and company.
