During a media session on Wednesday afternoon, President Donald Trump was asked for his thoughts on the ongoing situation involving the NBA and China. He didn’t hold back from taking a few shots at Steve Kerr and Gregg Popovich while discussing the topic.
Trump mocked Kerr for not answering a question about the NBA/China dilemma, saying he was scared “like a little boy.”
It’s not the first time that Trump and Kerr have been linked to each other. The head coach of the Warriors has been vocal about the President in the past.
The latest figure to chime in on this situation is Steph Curry.
When asked about President Trump’s remarks about Kerr, the two-time MVP said “Just heard about the Trump thing. Gotta welcome Steve to the club.”
Curry’s “welcome to the club” remark is in reference to when Trump uninvited him from the White House.

Similar to Kerr, the Warriors superstar didn’t have any notable comments to make about the NBA’s situation with China because he says he hasn’t been able to pay much attention to it.
The Warriors open the 2019-20 regular season very soon against the Los Angeles Clippers. Expect Curry and the rest of the team to direct their focus toward that game.
