The Golden State Warriors will try to keep their season alive and stave off elimination in Game 6 of the NBA Finals tonight. It will be the final game ever played at Oracle Arena.
Warriors fans should be fired up for this game, but many of them are lamenting the fact Marc Davis is part of the officiating crew. Davis and the Warriors don’t have great history this season.
According to NBC Sports, the Warriors are 3-5 this season in games Davis officiates. Toronto, meanwhile, is 9-0 when he’s on the court.
Davis worked Game 3 of these Finals, which Golden State lost on the road.

Warriors fan walks into SF coffee shop. Lady asks if he’s excited for tonight’s game (which he’s attending).
“Well, I was, & then I found out Marc Davis was the crew chief and now the season is over. It’s gonna be terrible.” (Stranger In the corner – yours truly – laughs loudly)

One thing is for certain: the officiating will be closely monitored in this game by all parties involved.
