We'll have to wait a few days for an official Carmelo Anthony Rockets signing.

On Thursday, Anthony was dealt to the Atlanta Hawks, a move that had been rumored a few days earlier. Atlanta is expected to waive the former 10-time All-Star.

The deal also featured the Philadelphia 76ers, who sent forwards to both the Hawks and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The trade allows the Thunder to lop off a huge chunk of what is set to be a historic luxury tax bill.

Once the Hawks officially waive 'Melo, there will be a 48-hour waiver period before he can sign with the Rockets, or any other team.

The Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers have also been floated as options for him. However, the Rockets have been a heavy favorite for a while now, and he has reportedly told others that he will be in Houston.
